How Does SmartLipo Work?
SmartLipo is a meticulously calibrated laser utilized to treat one or more specific body areas. A small cannula (tube) that is attached to the device is used to rupture fat cells through the top layer of the skin. Once released from the cells, the fat is liquefied by the laser’s energy. The oily substance in then removed by Dr. Beck though small incisions on the surface of the skin. This advanced technique prevents fat from seeping back into the cells and/or accumulating in other body part, which is why SmartLipo results are immediate.
SmartLipo treatments last anywhere from 45-60 minutes and patients receive local anesthesia that minimizes any pain and/or discomfort.
Recuperation
SmartLipo recovery is relatively minimal and patients often return to work within one to two days following the procedure. Pain medication and compression bandages are often necessary to eliminate discomfort, aid in healing, prevent infection and/or blood clots. SmartLipo coagulates blood vessels, which leads to reduced swelling, bruising and/or bleeding during the recovery period. Most incisions are completely healed within a few weeks following SmartLipo.
